It’s polymer-fortified, rated 5,000 to 6,000 psi at 28 days, and when it’s bonded to the slab with a slurry bond coat it can be pitched right down to a feather edge. That lets us keep the pan and curb low-profile without giving up strength.
Watch out: hollow spots behind the tile. Dots of thinset leave hollow spots behind the tile, which can lead to cracks and loose tiles. We back-butter and aim for full coverage. Best way? Do your research and hire a pro.
