A built-in bench turns a shower into a place to sit, shave or just enjoy the steam. The secret is in the prep: the bench is tied into the shower's waterproofing, the top is floated level side to side with a slight pitch so water runs off, and it is finished in tile or a single stone slab. Curves take it further, with tile cut to the arc and edge trim bent to follow it.
